I have Cable TV, and when a flood hit my town the cable was down the whole time. I felt defenseless. We evacuated and headed to the relatives. I needed a digital antenna. I live about 45 miles from Austin and 50 miles away from San Antonio. I get 20 channels with this antenna most of them from S.A. If I unplug the amplifier I get none. The best results from this is plugging the usb into an outlet. The more direct the juice the stronger the signal. I am very pleased with this product. For those who are new to this type of technology. If you move the antenna around the room it will affect the reception. Sometimes the favorite spot may not be the best spot. Try moving your TV around to optimize reception. (Posted on 28/05/2015)

Great little antenna. Picks up all of the TV signals in my area. It has a small footprint and fits on my window without being very noticeable. (Posted on 19/05/2015)

Sleek design and not very noticeable in the window. Make sure you place it where you want this. Once attached it is stuck! Gave it 4 stars because sometimes VHF channels won't come in. (Posted on 08/10/2014)

Works well in 2 different suburban houses ~20 and ~7 miles away from DC. The 20-mile-away house was getting 60 channels with this antenna with Sony Bravia smart TV, including about 20 HDTV channels. Same TV was getting about 40 channels in the other house. The difference of course has to do with the direction the antenna facing, density of buildings and vegetation in the area, etc. The reception, understandably, will also get affected by the weather, so when it is a dense overcast and especially when it rains, you might get grainy picture on some of the channels. Also, be prepared to have some electromagnetic interference from some household devices. For example, if you (or your neighbor if you live in an apartment) turn on the food processor, the electromagnetic waves it generates may completely destroy your TV reception. However, there is an easy way to correct for that by attaching the antenna to the window glass and sticking a piece of wire mesh behind it on the room side. The wire mesh will screen any electromagnetic waves coming from inside the house, but will still allow the antenna to receive the radio waves from the outside. For less than 10 bucks, this antenna is at least worth trying. If it does not work, that means you will probably need a roof antenna. Also remember that you can nowadays watch TV from the internet, and there is always YouTube, Netflix, etc., for the movies, and your smartphone for the latest news. (Posted on 13/09/2014)

I was able to place this on a kitchen tv where no cable exists. Replaces another brand I had purchased but was constantly having to move around to pick up NBC. I was able to hook this one up easily and have not had to move it at all and get the same channels plus two extra was not getting before. Still cant pick up ABC locally. (Posted on 01/04/2014)

I live in a condo building that does not get reception at all with a regular antenna. I was disappointed that I have to have this plugged in but it does work once its outside. Unfortunately if I want to watch all channels I may have to just come out of pocket and get cable. I think its more my building than the antenna. Im sure I lived in a house or smaller building it would work well inside. (Posted on 27/02/2014)
