Good quality, good comfort, good sound, long lasting battery.... Poor bluetooth connection. Review by David Angell

I purchased the August EP640 - Bluetooth Wireless headphones because I was looking for a good pair of over the ears headphones with wireless capabilities. Packaging - I was impressed with the packaging. It was very protective and had nice looking graphics. Not the type of packaging you would expect from such a low priced pair of headphones. Quality- The build quality of these headphone is very good. They are nice and durable and the hinge part is made of metal and not plastic like other headphones around this price range. The ear pads are soft and well built. I do not feel like they would rip off or tear easily. Sound - The sound is great. Crisp highs and mids. The bass isn't fantastic but it also is not "crackly" (is that a word?) Comfort - These are very comfortable. I have had other expensive headphones that I had to take off after and hour because they would hurt my ears. I use these at work for hours at a time and have never had any issues like that. Bluetooth - This is the fallback. Even there is even the slightest bit of fabric or anything between your phone and these headphones the device will cut out. I have an old pair of Jabra Halo BT headphones that wont cut out at all as long as I am within 5 feet of my phone but if I put my phone even in my shirt pocket with a very thin layer of fabric and the phone being 1 foot away from the headphones the BT cuts out. As long as you don't plan on walking around with your phone in your pocket your connection should be fine with these. Pros- Good quality, good comfort, good sound, long lasting battery Cons- Poor bluetooth connection. (Posted on 08/06/2015)
PHENOMENAL HEADPHONES! High Quality! Great Sound! Incredible Value! Review by Chris Speer

As indicated in the video, these are absolutely top notch headphones that produce the quality, depth, and range of sound of sets that cost easily 4 to 6 times as much! After performing a thorough review, here is a list of the pros and cons I noted: Pros: 1. Extremely good sound deadening! The earpads are very soft and comfortable and block out an incredible amount of sound. Makes it feel like you just walked into a sound studio! 2. Very superb range and quality of sound! Excellent treble and incredible bass! These produce the crisp and clear sound of super high end headphones for a fraction of the price! 3. High quality materials and craftsmanship! Very well designed and built, these not only feel and look great, they function and perform perfectly! 4. Excellent microphone for making calls! Very clear and crisp voice recognition and blocks out background noise well 5. Simple, top of the line Bluetooth functionality, very easy to use 6. Option for auxiliary input. This is a great feature if you want to use them with a non-Bluetooth enabled device. Cons: None at all! You simply can't get better sound and quality in a set of headphones for this price, or for even triple the price frankly, unless you get the next model up of August headphones - EP650. August is definitely disrupting the headphone industry as they continue to produce products like this - supreme quality for an unbelievable price. Item provided for my honest review. The brand August has some very good head phones and this one is no less. It has bluetooth v4.0 which helps in connecting quickly via bluetooth. It also has NFC which is great as these days almost every phone has NFC built in. It has a microphone too so you can answer your calls through it and even use it for gaming. It has button for On/ Off and volume control and also track forward and backward. The ear cushions are soft and confortable and makes it easy to listen to music for long hours. The battery back up is good and stays on for upto 9-10 hours. I liked the built of these headphones. They are nice and glossy on the outside and gives a nice look to it. The sound quality was exceptionally good and the bass was pretty good too. I really did like the sound quality a lot. I was lucky to receive this for my honest opinion. (Posted on 06/04/2015)

August EP640 - Bluetooth Wireless Stereo NFC Headphones ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I am not sure if I got a pair of headphones this time around. My wife has expressed how much she loves these also so I think they are hers. They are sturdy material that has not give or flimsy properties. The whole thing is padded and very soft. Even the ears are padded and comfortable. We have really no issues except has to take these off once and a while because she is prone to overheating of her ears. This is mostly due to her ears. I wanted to mention that these have great sound quality and the design of these hold the sound in the cuffs instead of everyone having to hear the music you are listening too. Which is fine with me because I am not so big on blasting enya music like some women I know. :] ... I think this scooby dooby doo needs his own set. I like 80's music all the time.. Like Heart, Journey, and many other great bands. Durable, sturdy, great sound quality and cute design.. What more can you ask for Shaggy? :] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bluetooth V4.0 Wireless Headphones with NFC - Listen to audio from smartphones and tablets Built-in Microphone - Stay connected to your phone with hands free calling Music, Volume and Calls control Buttons - Answer calls & control your music Internal Li Ion Battery - Rechargeable battery gives up to 10 hours between charges 3.5mm Standard Audio In Socket - Connects to any non Bluetooth device ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I got this product as a sample for a test and review. Great Bluetooth Headphones Review by Dave "Amazon Product Tester & Reviewer"

The August EP640 are a great entry-level, affordable pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones. Even though it is very moderately priced, there are plenty of features packed into these headphones. It supports both Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC so you can quickly pair with virtually any smartphone or tablet on the market. There’s also a built in microphone along with call/music control buttons for convenience. The battery lasts up to 10 hours and if you happen to have it die on you, you can always just plug a 3.5mm aux cable from your device to the headphones and use them like regular wired ones. Charging is done via a standard micro USB cable. The build quality is decent, and it felt comfortable on my head and the over the ear design did not squeeze too hard on my ears. It’s also folds down for ease of transport. Sound quality is very good. I compared them to a similarly priced set and these sound a bit better. Lots of bass and plenty of treble to hit the highs and mids. Overall, these are a great pair of wireless headphones that will not put much of a dent in your wallet. 5/5 stars. I received these and one of the cushioned earphones was dangling loose. I connected the unit via Bluetooth after fully charging just to check the quality. The unit would not hold connectivity and its range was very short even when the unit it was connected to was right there. Keeping in mind that the unit was received damaged / defective this may have been part of the reason for the connectivity issue. I really wanted to like these and was planning to reorder them but seeing that they would not hold connectivity I was not willing to try again. The headset was returned. (Posted on 20/02/2015)
Good but the bass isn't the best Review by Anthony

These headphones are very nice in design and sound. They are comfortable, stylish, and have a good battery life. While these headphones have very good sound quality they lack some of the low basses in music such as dubstep and some rap, but they make up by having crisp and clear treble and mid sounds. The ability to use either bluetooth or a wired connection is awesome it allows you to still listen to music even if the battery dies. I don't notice any clear differences in the quality of the sound when changing from bluetooth to wired connection. It is foldable allowing for easier storage. These headphones have separate volume settings from the device you are using. Using NFC it is very easy to connect to these headphones while putting them into pairing mode isn't much harder it is very convenient. The design is comparable to a pair of beats while being less than half the price. With padding on the earphones and the top band these are very comfortable to wear and I have worn them for more than an hour without any discomfort. They are over the ear so your ears fit in perfectly with some room between your ears and the speakers. The colors it comes in are Black and red with a matte finish and white is a glossy or "shiny" finish. As a music lover these headphones are perfect for someone who looks to drown out all outside sounds when listening to music because these do a great job at noise cancellation. Comparing these to the August EP636 I would prefer the 6436 because they have better bass, but these are better at noise cancellation and the ability to use an auxiliary cord to connect to players that don't have bluetooth. Decent headphones that has pretty nice battery life. Review by Al

The August EP640 has been a great asset for my nightly entertainment as everyone else is attempting to sleep or is watching TV at loud volumes that interrupts me during me down time. I alternate between headphones and earphones depending on my needs. Package: Sturdy box that is pretty nice looking. Contents: EP640 Headphones Double aux male end cable. Pretty decent quality compared to the generic ones that comes with BT speakers. Around a meter long. Charging cable is fairly long and should reach from desktop/laptop to headphones easily. Usage: I charged up the EP640 within a few hours. With the 220mah lithium ion battery, it is about right. Holding the pause/play turns on/off the headphones for Bluetooth connections. While plugged in through aux, it does not take any battery life. It only drains power when connected through Bluetooth. Watching TV shows was pretty good, would be nice if the headphones had noise cancellation, but that's just asking too much and I am fine without it so I can hear someone calling for me. Comfort level is pretty nice, it does pinch a bit at the lower ear. When worn higher, the pinch is a bit more alleviated. My glasses were not pinched into my head and had plenty of room to shift around. Quality level is decent, did not give me that whoa from my very first time wearing headphones, but quality is pretty nice for watching my TV shows. But then quality does depend on the audio quality as well and cord quality (a small amount). Bluetooth: Pairing was simple. To begin Bluetooth, just hold the pause/play button until it alternates between red and blue. While paired, you can control forward/prev pause/play volume up and down. Through my laptop's bluetooth dongle, the prev/next is a bit glitchy with winamp, but plays and controls volume with no issues at all. Aux connection does not allow any control from the headset. Basically control is easily accomplished through the computer/mp3 player. Bluetooth range is pretty good, but keep in mind that certain materials in the walls may break the connection. Which happened to me when I walked a few rooms away. Overall, the EP640 by August is a decent headphone for those who are seeking more for soprano type of music than baritone. It looks great and sound quality is decent for the price. Hope this has been somewhat helpful to ya! If not, feel free to comment. (Posted on 02/12/2014)
Probably the BEST BARGAIN headphones out there at the moment. Review by Kennard Espinosa

These headphones are the perfect clash between all the cool features of the expensive headphones, mixed with an excellent bargain price, all topped of with a really comfortable feel that is heavenly. COMFORT: The cushions on the headphone ears are extremely soft and are like memory foam. Extremely comfortable and after a few uses it gets accommodated to your ears and becomes even more comfortable. BUILD QUALITY: The headphones are built with very strong materials that are long lasting and feel very good on the hands. The colored material is matte and is a very good grip. The extension for bigger heads is very sturdy and built to last, along with strong buttons that are distinctive from one another, so you know what you're pressing and are easy to click again and again. IN THE BOX: In the box you get the headphones that are well packaged along with a user manual, charging Micro-USB to USB cable and two-way 3.5mm headphone jack if you choose to listen wired or your battery runs out on the headphones. CONNECTIVITY: Bluetooth is very quick to connect and there is no problem in playing media. Also, the headphone jack is extremely handy for when the battery of the headphones is finished and you still need to listen to media. BUTTONS: You click and hold the main circular button to turn on the headphones. A little 2 second jingle plays and a blue light flashes to signify that the headphones are turned on. Click and hold again to search for Bluetooth devices. A red and blue light simultaneously flashes. Lastly, click and hold again to turn off, a red light flashes along with a shorter, more deep pitched jingle to signify that the headphones have turned off. SOUND QUALITY: These headphones are very responsive and sound is clear but not overpowering. Binaural capabilities work a treat so that is reassuring They are very bass-driven headphones and if that is not your thing, these headphones are still for you as you can change the treble and such on most devices with an in-built equalizer. The only one disavantage is that when the headphones are on a little blue light flashes every so often to signify that the headphones are turned on. This is slightly irritating but useful so you don't leave the headphones on and waste your battery. Finally the price, at just $35, this is a real steal for everything you get. Save your money, buy these headphones and enjoy a great experience!! BUY THESE NOW! :D ---- Kennard Espinosa ---- (Posted on 16/11/2014)
Stylish, long lasting.. but how does it sounds? Review by Johny Tech Reviewer "Yes?"

The version I have is the White version! Comfort: The band of the headphone has cushion but doesn't feel soft and I can notice it on my head. The clamp force somewhat strong, but the earpads are comfy which allows pretty comfortable wearing. After about an hour of wearing these headphones they feel a little warm around my ears and a 30 second breaks they feel nice and comfy again. Sounds quality: The lows on these are somewhat muddle. Bass are not as tight and tend to drift around and bleeds into the lower mids slightly. They're ample amount of bass but it's not really strong. Genres like rap/r&b/edm doesn't have the nice heavy hit of the bass so they do not sounds as good. Mid is where these headphones shines. Female vocalist sounds awesome on these headphones. The headphone have slight warm tone to them in general, but the mids sounds really good. The highs on these are also perfectly crispy and clean. Artist like Michael Bubble, Leona Lewis sounds really good on these. Acoustic, vocal jazz and even classical sounds goods. Sound leak & Noise isolation: Noise isolation is superb on this headphones. Without music you might be able to make out out words somebody is telling you but as soon as music start playing even on low level, you will be completed enveloped in your music with no outside noise. Range & Battery: Range on this headphone is also very good, 30 feet are doable in open room. Through thick wall you will get about 10 feet or so. Battery life is as good as advertise. It lasted over week with lighting 1-2 hours usage a day for me. Phone call: Other side can hear but volume is low and other party didn't hear very clearly. The mic seems to be not very sensitive. Some other notes: Button on headphones takes sometime to get use to their position and they do make noise loud noise when you're pressing them with headphone on your head. Please note a retail unit of this product was sent to me for a fair and honest review. (Posted on 28/10/2014)
