Love the August Antenna's for all our TV's! Review by CamJam Cindy

I have tried several different antenna's for our 4 indoor TV's as well as for our 6 various portable TV's. I was frustrated with our outdoor amplified remote controlled antenna on 3 of our indoor TV's. On windy days, it really sucked. With the slightest wind gust, you'd lose sight of what you are watching or lose the channel altogether making TV viewing impossible. Rabbit ears drove us crazy and often broke in the process of trying to find all TV channels. So I thought to try a few different indoor antennas: The flat amplified ultra thin Amazon antenna, as well as the Winegard model (both relatively work the same). These worked only on ONE TV that was close to the window facing where all the station centers are. All stations are approx. 10 miles away to the North west of our home. So then I bought various August TV antennas and WOW they work fantastic for our other TV's! I just had to find the "sweet spot" and used either the metal curtain rod or a tin lid from the popcorn tin and even another sits on top of the popcorn tin can and each pull in over 30 channels very clearly! This model, DTA207, seems to work best in my office / computer room. The other models such as the DTA206 and the DTA240 work fantastic on the other indoor TV's. I do favor the DTA207 because you can easily angle it where you want more than you can the DTA206 so I bought more. Even as windy as it has been these past few days in Portland, Oregon, the TV's work fantastic with these amazing little inexpensive antennas. They even work fantastic with our small portable TV's as well as LONG AS WE SET THESE ANTENNAS on some magnetic metal. Also what has helped, because the antenna cord is so short on these August antennas for our indoor TV's, is by using the Triple shielded Mediabridge coaxial cables (also found on Amazon). What is also cool about this coaxial is that the BLUE ends on the part that screws on to your TV makes it so easy. You can take it off, but why? It's much easier to install than without it. Anyway, this is our experience and just wanted to let others know. (Posted on 08/01/2015)
Didn't work for me Review by Claire Rochon

I have been looking for an antenna to connect the Television in my bedroom. I didn't need a really strong one since I was only looking to get basically 6, 10, and 12 more for the news than anything else. I read the reviews and figured I would give this a try. Received the item very quickly and hooked it up in under 5 minutes. However after several channel searches I couldn't get 12 and 10 was very fuzzy. Also the base is very small. It recommended to place it on metal but I didn't have any near by. So I had to send it back and buy a cheap RCA unit for $10.00. Which gets the channels I want. (Posted on 26/05/2014)
Amazing antenna for what it is Review by The Buv

I have become increasingly aware that with antennas, it is more the capability of the TV than the antenna. With that out of the way, this antenna bests another one I paid much more for. I paid around five dollars for it with free shipping. I love the thing. (Posted on 27/01/2014)

It serves its purpose, which was to attach a little antenna to my little flatscreen to get over-the-air tv signals. And the little magnetized base can be handy, but if you're attempting something similar I might recommend something substantially bigger. And I would like to add that Amazon first charged me shipping when the item clearly indicated free (when bundled with other items), but they very politely and promptly refunded the shipping fee after I left comments that were less than flattering. I use this antenna with a small portable LCD TV and it works great. The magnet could be a bit stronger. The telescoping antenna is well built & feels durable, not cheap. I'd definitely recommend this to a friend (or Amazon review reader ;-) (Posted on 28/07/2013)

I ordered this item when I was unable to receive local channels via my satellite provider. The antenna is easy to attach and provides good reception (with occasional problems due to weather - remember this is an antenna there will be some problems). Overall, this is an inexpensive, easy fix in order to receive local channels. (Posted on 06/01/2013)
