Ok I was hoping once I attached to my Haier 7" maybe I would get three channels, but nothing. Maybe it's something I'm doing or maybe it's my area, but I can't get one channel with this attenna (Posted on 25/04/2014)
Antenna works fair Review by Robert Schwartz

This antenna is too short. It only expands to 12 inches. It works better than the short whip which comes with mu small TV. If it expanded to 24 inches it would work much better. The rod can be replaced with a longer rod. The big plus is the coax connector which connects to the antenna input on the TV. (Posted on 15/04/2014)
Can't beat this price Review by Janelle Becker

I was actually very skeptical that this antenna would get us any channels. Once Comcast encrypted all of the digital channels we were getting for free I didn't know what we would do. Someone suggested this antenna and I never thought it would work for only $5. With the antenna we get 4 main channels: ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox -- most of them in HD -- as well as some random other channels like "livewell" and one that only shows old movies. Only a few times has the signal been scratchy, and moving the antenna around a bit usually fixes it (we do live just outside a major city, so not sure if it would work as well in a more rural area). The antenna also just screws into the back of the tv and you can't see it, so you don't have anything ugly sticking up or on a nearby wall. Overall I'm very impressed! Update: I moved and in my new location (still very close to a major city) the signal is a lot worse. It picks up many fewer channels than before and the main ones are more scratchy and go in and out much more often. Still, the antenna is definitely worth getting for only $5. (Posted on 13/02/2014)
Great Reception! Review by Italo Guy

Will pick up at least 40 to 50 channels in the area where I live. Fully rotatable and extendable for convenience when adjusting the antenna for the best possible reception. Just simply plug in and scan, and within minutes you'll be watching all your local DTV channels. The slim girth and small profile of this amazing little antenna also helps it to prevent picking up less interference. Sure beats the hell out of the bigger, fancier, and much more expensive antennas that won't hardly do anything other than induce severe headaches! (Posted on 03/01/2014)
Works great for me in Boston (Roslindale) Review by Colleen Palmer

I am pleasantly surprised by this attractive little baton-like antenna. I get more channels with this little antenna than I did with the "basic cable" + internet package that I used to have with Comcast for $70/mo. I switched to RCN for internet only ($40/mo) and bought these affordable beauties for my Digital TV reception. I bought two. One was a plug and program, easy set-up into a flat panel computer monitor/tv. The second one is on an older digital flat screen tv and because of where the coax input is (upside down) I could not put it in and adjust it to point upright. So, I decided to hook it up to a short coax cable that I then hooked to the tv (needed a joiner-I used a splitter I had hanging around). This set up allows me to point it upright and adjust the direction for the best reception. Side note about HD over the air : The quality of the HD reception over the air with an antenna is BETTER than with comcast cable. Cable degrades the quality!!! Even if you do have the comcast tv + internet package because that is all that is available where you live, I recommend disconnecting your cable and connecting an antenna instead! Side note about comcast packages : If you have been duped into the "triple play" package with comcast which includes phone for $10/mo, do yourself a favor and drop it. Get the OBItalk VOIP device for $40 (link below). You hook it up to your router, hook your phone to it, get a free phone # from google voice and after a 5 minute setup online you will have FREE calls everywhere in the US. (You can even port your number for $20 at google voice - check it out). Once you set this up you will have no minutes, no monthly charge, and no more of your money wastefully lining the pockets of comcast share holders! You are already paying for internet, there is no reason you should pay more to talk on that internet connection. OBI Talk: OBi100 Telephone Adapter Service Bridge (Posted on 24/10/2013)
Love this thing. So small. Put it on the back of your TV and forget about it. Review by Anonymous Amazon Review

I love this antenna. Put it on the back of your TV and forget about it. Totally worth it for $5. I had previously used a big stand-alone powered antenna receiver thing. It was big and required its own power cord and remote. No thanks; this little guy gets the same channels and sits out of the way on the back of your TV. (Posted on 15/09/2013)

I live in L.A. and use it for a spare bedroom that doesn't have cable. It picks up most channels and works well. It does not get all the channels without having to adjust the antenna (point this way for chan 2, that way for chan 9). (Posted on 11/07/2013)
Works OK for what it is Review by G English

Good for stations that have a good signal -- no messy cables or trying to find a place for a separate antenna. However, I recently replaced this with a Mohu Leaf antenna (basic one, no amplification) and now I can pick up even my fringe channels, and no real need for aiming the antenna. So if you have strong stations within a few miles and don't want a mess, get this telescopic antenna -- otherwise get the Leaf. (Posted on 06/03/2013)

Received product today and installed it into my new LCD TV (which had HDTV tuner, but no antenna!) Product works better than the rabbit ear antenna that I was currently using. Picked up all the local free OTA HD channels without any major issue. The TV is currently mounted on the wall in a guess bedroom near a window. As information only, the coaxial connector is a "push-in" type, and not a threaded connector. PROS: - Works as advertised - One piece unit (no cables dangling from the connector to a rabbit ear!) CONS: - None so far (Posted on 04/12/2012)

I bought this antenna for 3 reasons: looks, portability and hope for better reception. 2 out of 3 ain't bad! The antenna looks good (to me), and makes my 9" tv ALOT more portable. However, there is no improvement (or decrease) in the reception I was getting with the corded antenna that came with the set. But I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good, replacement PORTABLE antenna! (Posted on 29/10/2012)
