The August DVB482 is a culmination of everything that makes a Set-Top-Box accessible, easy to use and functional. With an easy-to-use EPG (TV Guide), recording for TWO different channels at once, full HD DVB-T2 channel searching and Multi-Media playback support the DVB482 is the best way to have all your entertainment in one place.
No internet, Wi-Fi, subscriptions or recurring costs are required.
The most anticipated feature of the DVB482 Set Top Box Recorder. With the DVB482 you can record Channel 4 while watching and recording ITV at the same time! Never suffer from shows clashing and instead watch them back-to-back.
Create a personal local library of shows and films that are yours to save onto an inserted USB Stick, and won't be removed by a subscription service or taken down from the net. USB Sticks can be reformatted with the Set-Top-Box itself. Format USB sticks to NTFS to ensure you can record with your drive.
Freeview and Freeview HD
Keeping August's high audio-visual standard, the DVB482 receives full HD 1080p Freeview channels from DVB-T2 signals. Get the best-looking TV for free on your 4K Smart TV and explore over 100 channels on the new, fresh, interactive EPG.
Brand New EPG
The EPG (Electronic Program Guide) has been revamped and revitalised to bring it into 2023. No more changing to "Record mode" and hassling with clunky menus. Simply find your show in the EPG and press record! This will schedule a recording. Up to 2 recordings can overlap at any one time, even while watching one of them Live, too.
View channel info set reminders and recordings and make channels favourites for quick access all in the EPG in the brand-new, easily-navigable UI.
Timeshift features return, allowing you to pause, rewind, catch up and record all in real-time. Insert a USB stick and store / interact with Live TV. From jumping up when a doorbell goes and slapping pause to re-watching a scene right away, Timeshifitng has become more accessible and interactable.
Simple EPG, Options for Subtitles across 6 Languages and a clearly labelled remote make using the DVB482 a universal experience. Bring accessible TV, Radio and Multimedia playback to any room!
Use the USB port to play your own music, share your photos or watch any recorded/stored video. From surprising your family with a trip down memory lane to using the box as a music centre for a party the Multimedia option enables you to have an all-in-one entertainment centre. Keep a USB of videos and music and access as much as you like even when the internet is down or there's nothing on Telly.
Two-in-One Remote Control
The remote has been redesigned for the DVB482 to add in IR learning. This means that your set-top-box remote can control your TV itself! Switch source, change volume and more all without having to find another control. This is just another way that August has made the newest Set-Top-Box Recorder our most accessible Freeview Box that records.

Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Cancel scheduled recordings?
You cannot cancel recordings through the EPG. Instead, press Menu, System Set Up, and Schedule. This is a list of all scheduled recordings. Select one to edit and change “Timer Mode” to “Off”. This will remove the scheduled recording setting.
What is “Speed too slow to record”?
Most of the time the recording still gets made. It’s also not a consistent issue.
The issue is due to how fast the data is written to the USB. If the recordings consistently fail, we advise a faster/larger USB 3.0 drive designed for faster transfers or an USB external SSD
How Do I change the channel while recording?
If there are recordings going on you cannot access the EPG or Schedule options. Please ensure you know the channel number you wish to switch to and type in using the number pad. For best results, use the EPG or Schedule to arrange recordings days or weeks in advance.
How do I input the time for the recording?
For timer inputs please use the Left and Right arrow buttons to underline the digit, and the number pad to choose the number. You input numbers with the number buttons not by scrolling with Up and Down arrows.
Volume + and Volume - Buttons Don’t Work
The volume + and volume - individual buttons at the top of the remote are a bypass to allow you to control your TV settings all through one remote. If the volume is still too loud or quiet please use the DVB482 volume button on the left of the remote to adjust the volume further.
How To Connect The DVB482 Remote to my TV?
The DVB482 can pair with your own TV remote to control volume and source easily all through one remote. To do this, hold “SET” on the DVB482 remote for 3 seconds. The red light will stay on. Hold the Volume Down button on your TV remote and hold the two remotes towards each other. The remotes will pair and the “TV” section of the DVB482 remote will now behave as if it is your original TV remote. Please view the Manual in your language below for full instructions.
