Amplify Any Indoor TV Aerial

With the DTB115 you can add 20dB of gain to any coaxial digital TV aerial. Perfect for indoor antennas that need the extra boost! Watch TV in attics, garages, tents and caravans with a higher signal reception and less interference.

The DTB115 connects via Coaxial port at both ends, simply slotting between your current digital TV antenna and your TV, Set Top Box or USB TV Tuner.

How to Boost Aerial Signal

By providing a powered amplifier, aerial signal has increased “Gain”.

“Gain” is a measure of the type of reception an aerial has. For example, an aerial with low gain will receive signals from any direction, in a small range. Meanwhile, an aerial with high gain will receive signals from a specific direction, in a very long range.

By adding gain, we make the aerial more directional, but also longer ranged.

Therefore, to boost aerial signal you need to both supply the power for the amplification, but also physically place the aerial correctly. A high gain aerial pointing the wrong way will be useless!

Powering the TV Aerial Amplifier

You can power the DTB115 in 2 ways:

  1. Using the USB Cable Attached. The DTB115 comes with a USB cable attached. Plug this into a powered USB port (For example, on the back or side of your TV) to power the unit.

  2. Using “Aerial Power” via Coaxial Cable. On certain models of TV and Set Top Box, you can enable power to be sent directly out of the Coaxial port. If your model supports this, you can enable Aerial Power to charge up the amplifier without needing the USB cable! Simply leave the cable unplugged if you enable Aerial Power on your device.

Please Note: This booster will make aerials more directional. This means you may need to rotate your aerial once connected to achieve the best signal. While this booster extends range and reduces chance of interference, some meteorological conditions, physical barriers such as brickwork, and service outages can all still cause loss of reception for some users.
