The August MB450K radio combines retro style with modern functionality, encased in a classic oak finish with an authentic grille front and large control dial, giving it a timeless, vintage look. Despite its retro exterior, the MB450K offers high-quality sound and wireless Bluetooth connectivity for seamless audio streaming from your devices, bringing modern convenience into a nostalgic package.
The LCD backlit screen ensures easy access to radio stations, settings, and paired Bluetooth info, adding a practical edge to its design. Plus, with the included remote control, you can easily adjust settings, snooze the alarm, or change music from any room. The MB450K blends vintage charm with the latest audio features, making it a stylish and practical choice for any music lover.
DAB, DAB+ and FM Digital Radio
The MB450K uses an adjustable telescopic aerial for DAB, DAB+ and FM reception. The aerial tucks away neatly or can extend up to 45cm and be rotated through a full hemisphere. This allows you to tweak reception in areas with weak signal.
Using the information button on the remote or unit you can see signal loss in real time, and place the radio (And aerial) in the best possible location, every time.
30 DAB / DAB+ and 30 FM pre-set stations can be saved, which we've seen on our other radios. What's new here is that the remote number pad allows you to save favourites to a specific number and type it in, giving you access to a curated list of stations instantly accessible in just 2 button presses! Navigate from Absolute Rock to Classic FM in no time!
Included Remote Control for Bedrooms
The MB450K comes with a full-function remote control. Simply use the power button on the radio to turn it on, and then you can sit back and operate the radio, Bluetooth, settings and even snooze your alarm all from the comfort of your bed!
Rechargeable Battery
The modern tech doesn't stop there, as the fully rechargeable internal battery provides up to 18 hours of battery dependent on audio mode. When using a lot of battery on digital radio reception you can expect 12 - 15 hours of playback, while when using USB or SD card or AUX you can expect the full 18 hours!
Either way, you can safely use the MB450K for a full day or night of music with just a comparatively short 5 hour charge time. Combined with the standby mode, your radio can last days or weeks of light use in the evenings.
Dual Alarm Clock Radio
The cherry on top is the easy-to-use alarm system able to be set to once, daily or weekend only. There are 2 separate alarm slots so you can set a dual alarm, one for weekday work and one for weekend lay-ins!
Choose from DAB / DAB+, FM or a standard Buzzer to wake you up in the way that is best for you, every day.
Bluetooth Speaker
The August MB450K radio offers seamless Bluetooth connectivity for wireless streaming from apps like Spotify and YouTube Music, allowing you to play audio from your phone or tablet without cords. This functionality also enables pairing with other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as TVs, transforming the MB450K into a wireless home speaker system that accommodates various entertainment sources.
Built-in Prune and DRC
The Prune feature on the MB450K helps maintain an updated station list by removing stations that are no longer broadcasting or have changed frequency. These outdated stations are marked with a "?" on the display. By performing a full scan, new stations can be added to the list; however, Prune is specifically used to delete those that are defunct, keeping your station list relevant. If you need a complete refresh, a Factory Reset will clear all saved stations and then conduct a fresh scan to list all currently available stations.
The Dynamic Range Compression (DRC) feature balances audio output by reducing the volume of louder sounds and boosting quieter sounds, which is especially beneficial when listening at lower volumes. This helps create a more consistent audio experience, ideal for environments where maintaining a steady volume level is key.

Which USB and MicroSD is Compatible?
The August MB450 can read the following formats from a FAT16 or FAT32 32GB USB or MicroSD Card: MP3,WAV,WMA,FLAC,APE
What is DRC Mode?
DRC stands for Dynamic Range Compression and will reduce the audio range of each station so that you have a more consistent and stable audio experience when switching from one station to another.
Why Is The Remote Not Working?
The remote can control the radio when it is on, but cannot turn the radio on from being unpowered as the radio cannot receive the command when turned off. Please make sure the device is on and out of standby to use the remote.
Can You Set Alarm Volume?
In the Alarm Set Up Wizard you can set the alarm source such as DAB, FM or Buzzer, and the final option presented will be alarm volume. The alarm volume can be set differently for both dual alarms so your daily buzzer can be loud while your weekend radio can be quieter, for example.

If you are not entirely satisfied with your product, you can return the item within 30 days of purchase. The item must be in its original packaging with all accessories. Once we have received the item, our engineers will inspect your returned item and your refund will be processed within 1 to 2 business days.
Please contact us before returning the item. We will attempt to resolve any issues you are experiencing and, if we are unable to do so, provide full return instructions. When returning an item, please download, complete and include the return form below inside your order. Failing to do so could lead to a delay in your refund. If you are unable to print the form you can fill out the information onto a blank piece of paper and include that instead.
In the event that the item is not containing all accessories or is poorly packaged and as a result returned damaged, we may be unable to issue a full refund. A customer service agent will explain this to you.
