The MB450K radio is ready to bring modern convenience and audio quality in a groovy retro shell! A lovely oak finish, authentic grille front face and large control dial all add to the timeless aesthetic while the bright LCD backlit screen provides easy access to station information, menus and settings, and clear communication of paired Bluetooth devices.

DAB, DAB+ and FM Aerial
The MB450K uses an adjustable telescopic aerial for DAB, DAB+ and FM reception. The aerial tucks away neatly or can extend up to 45cm and be rotated through a full hemisphere. This allows you to tweak reception in areas with weak signal.
Using the information button on the remote or unit you can see signal loss in real time, and place the radio (And aerial) in the best possible location, every time.
30 DAB / DAB+ and 30 FM pre-set stations can be saved, which we've seen on our other radios. What's new here is that the remote number pad allows you to save favourites to a specific number and type it in, giving you access to a curated list of stations instantly accessible in just 2 button presses! Navigate from Absolute Rock to Classic FM in no time!
Included Remote Control Perfect for Bedrooms
The MB450K comes with a full-function remote control. Simply use the power button on the radio to turn it on, and then you can sit back and operate the radio, Bluetooth, settings and even snooze your alarm all from the comfort of your bed! (Daffodil accepts no responsibility for days of work missed due to you snoozing your alarm from bed and falling back to sleep, and this description does not qualify as a sick note 😜)
Modern Tech in a Retro Frame
The MB450K utilises Bluetooth 5.3, the latest Bluetooth 5 release. This provides under 40ms of latency which results in near-instant control and playback. Setting up a soundtrack for cooking or setting the perfect mood for a garden party has never been easier.
On top of Bluetooth, the radio speaker itself features modern DRC (Dynamic Range Compression), Prune and Sleep Timer functions.
DRC - Normalise audio quality and range across all radio stations by compressing the audio range. This creates a more consistent audio experience when changing channels frequently.
Prune - Automatically remove outdated and low-signal channels to save yourself time when scanning, and ensure only strong signals are shown on the menu.
Sleep Timer - Set a sleep timer to have the device automatically power down after a set time. Drift off to sleep with your preferred ambiance without the risk of draining all the radio battery or waking yourself up once you are asleep.
LCD Backlight - The display on the radio is crystal clear and makes the radio a joy to use. From RDS info to Bluetooth paring and clock format, the screen holds the entire experience together.
Powerful 5W Speaker - The speaker can be adjusted with EQ settings and uses 5W rating to provide an authentic audio experience.
Up to 18 Hours Battery Life
The modern tech doesn't stop there, as the fully rechargeable internal battery provides up to 18 hours of battery dependent on audio mode. When using a lot of battery on digital radio reception you can expect 12 - 15 hours of playback, while when using USB or SD card or AUX you can expect the full 18 hours!
Either way, you can safely use the MB450K for a full day or night of music with just a comparatively short 5 hour charge time. Combined with the standby mode, your radio can last days or weeks of light use in the evenings.
Dual-Alarm Clock
The cherry on top is the easy-to-use alarm system able to be set to once, daily or weekend-only. There are 2 separate alarm slots so you can set a dual-alarm, one for weekday work and one for weekend lay-ins!
Choose from DAB / DAB+, FM or a standard Buzzer to wake you up in the way that is best for you, every day.

The MB450 can read the following formats from a FAT16 or FAT32 32GB USB or MicroSD Card: MP3,WAV,WMA,FLAC,APE
What is DRC Mode?
DRC stands for Dynamic Range Compression and will reduce the audio range of each station, so that you have a more consistent and stable audio experience when switching from one station to another.
Why Is The Remote Not Working?
The remote can control the radio when it is on, but cannot turn the radio on from being unpowered as the radio cannot receive the command when turned off. Please make sure the device is on and out of standby to use the remote.
Can You Set Alarm Volume?
In the Alarm Set Up Wizard you can set the alarm source such as DAB, FM or Buzzer, and the final option presented will be alarm volume. The alarm volume can be set differently for both dual-alarms so your daily buzzer can be loud while your weekend radio can be quieter, for example.
