Prune and DRC Functions
The Prune feature ensures that non-transmitting or frequency-changed stations are automatically removed from the list. These stations are marked with a '?' for easy identification. During a full scan, new stations are added, while the old ones are retained. However, performing a Factory Reset clears the entire memory and initiates a fresh scan to capture all available stations.
Dynamic Range Compression (DRC) is a useful feature that adjusts the volume levels of different sounds. It lowers the volume of louder sounds and enhances the volume of quieter sounds. Q: Is this radio loud enough?
A: The MB225 is able to play music loud enough to listen well in a bedroom from a bedside table, at a desk, or in any other medium-sized room. It will not fill a large open space with sound, but this keeps sound quality crystal clear.
Q: How do I change the volume?
A: The central dial is a multi-purpose button for navigation and volume, when on a radio station press the up/down arrows to adjust the volume.
Q: Is There A Charging Indicator?
A: Yes, located in the top right-hand corner of the display screen will show the state of the battery in 25% increments and will show when charging.
Q: Is there a remote control?
A: There is no remote control with the MB225, you may be interested in the August MB300 which does include a remote control.
