Articulating Boom-Arm
The metal articulating arm of the microphone stand is spring-loaded for a secure grip on desks, tables, shelves, or music stands, accommodating a thickness of up to 46mm (1.8"). Designed for optimal versatility, it ensures the microphone is perfectly positioned to capture your voice, instrument, or any sound source with precision. The boom arm articulates at a primary joint and pivots at both ends, allowing for flexible adjustments and maximum freedom during recordings. Ideal for podcasts, live streaming, music production, or voice-over work, this setup guarantees a stable and professional experience, letting you record, perform, or speak with confidence and ease.
Anti-Shock Mount
A shock absorber is included to reduce vibrations propagating to the microphone. These vibrations are caused by the movement of your arms, tapping a keyboard, air conditioning or a heater. This shock mount makes a big difference when recording and gives you a much cleaner and clearer final sound. The rubberised elastic straps suspend your microphone from the centre of the kit and ensure good stability.
Pop Filter
The pop filter helps to filter airflow to better capture certain consonants and avoid incoherent playback. Words and sounds dictated to the microphone are perfectly transcribed and audible without the annoying pops and clicks of your lips and tongue.
Windshield
A simple windshield muff is supplied with the mic which can be added or removed at will. The microphone can be attached to a music stand and set up on a band-stand for example, with less impact from the wind.

Can I use this Microphone without the stand?
The kit arrives modular, with the construction of the stand and attaching the windshield etc all performed by you. If you want to keep them separate for travel or use with a smaller device you can.
The REC100 Microphone is not recording?
Please make sure that the USB cable is attached to the computer and the microphone securely.
Is the August REC100 compatible with Windows 11?
The REC100B is compatible with Windows Vista,7, 8, 10 and 11/ Mac / Chrome OS/ Linux
I can hear the wind in my recording.
Please make sure you have attached the windshield to the microphone. It is the foam cover, not the pop filter.

Shipping & Return
If you are not entirely satisfied with your product, you can return the item within 30 days of purchase. The item must be in its original packaging with all accessories. Once we have received the item, our engineers will inspect your returned item and your refund will be processed within 1 to 2 business days.
Please contact us before returning the item. We will attempt to resolve any issues you are experiencing and, if we are unable to do so, provide full return instructions. When returning an item, please download, complete and include the return form below inside your order. Failing to do so could lead to a delay in your refund. If you are unable to print the form you can fill out the information onto a blank piece of paper and include that instead.
In the event that the item is not containing all accessories or is poorly packaged and as a result returned damaged, we may be unable to issue a full refund. A customer service agent will explain this to you.

- All returned items must be properly protected against possible transport damage.
- You, as the buyer, are responsible for the cost of returning the item/s. Please use Royal Mail Second Class Parcel or lower. Our engineers inspect returned items, and if found to be faulty, your return postage will be refunded up to a maximum of £4.00
