Widely Compatible Inputs and Outputs
Using this VCR to PC transfer kit you can digitise VHS' and even digitise Cassette tapes or vinyl if you have the device's original cables. The device is a simple USB stick, with the Red, Black, Yellow and S-Video inputs on the other side. This adds composite video input as well as stereo audio to your PC so you can record your footage in its authentic quality.
To transfer files from VCRs, DVDs, Set-Top Boxes, Game Consoles, and Camcorders, connect them via the RGB or S-Video inputs and use the included straightforward software to create a digital video in your choice of format.
Formats include .flv, .mkv, .mp4, .mov and .ts.

The VGB300 is all built-in, with no driver downloads needed. Simply plug the USB in and allow it a few moments to install itself. We then advise you to use the free, open source recording software from OBSProject and recording your footage directly on to your PC, laptop or Mac hard drive.
OBS is a free-to-use capture software, easy to and simple to get to grips with. It provides a perfect way to record and store your footage on your PC or Mac. Once recorded, files can be easily found in your "videos" folder and edited, shared or moved as you please.
Convert from different devices
All cassette formats are compatible so long as the source device is compatible with the VGB300's inputs. Your VHS, VHS-C, MiniDV, Hi8, Audio Cassettes, Vinyl and Retro Consoles can all be digitised. If using a SCART device, make sure the adapter is set to "OUTPUT" so that the VGB300 can receive the output video.

Q: No sound is recorded in OBS
A: Make sure you have "Use custom audio device" inside your OBS Settings
Q: the VGB300 is not recognised after a Windows update?
A: Head over to your Device Manager, uninstall both AV to USB2.0" & "AV to USB2.0 Mic", unplug the VGB300, wait a couple of minutes and reinsert the device into your USB slot to reinstall the drivers.
