The MB290 Radio uses the audio and radio skills from August home radios and packages it with added functionality and extreme battery life to ensure your adventure has a suitable soundtrack, enough charge and is well-lit!
High-Capacity Fast Charge Survival Radio
The MB290 features a 4500mAh battery providing long, dynamic battery life. This means that use of the Bluetooth will conserve battery (Lasting up to 60 hours of playback) while using the aerial and Radio functions will use more (Lasting up to 40 Hours of Playback). This allows you to conserve battery when you need it.
3 Charging Methods
- Solar Power - The Solar Panels on the top of the device passively generate a constant flow of electricity. Please ensure you fully charge the device with the power cable first, before using solar over time to maintain/restore smaller amounts of charge
- Hand Crank Dynamo - The foldable crank stores neatly along the side of the windup radio speaker and can be deployed at will. Turn the handle to generate kinetic electricity and give a burst of energy to the device in emergencies or to keep the music going
- Rechargeable Integrated Battery - The internal battery can also be charged by a power cable, included. The USB-C connection is fast, and efficient and makes charging accessible via any powered USB port!
Camping Radio with Built-in Power Bank
Once the MB290 is charged via your chosen method, you can use the powered USB port to charge phones, tablets, electric stoves and more around the campsite. The USB port is universally accessible to any charging cable (USB 2.0, 3.0).

The MB290 features Bluetooth connection to use the high-quality 40mm drivers as a wireless speaker. Connect a phone, tablet, laptop and more to play your own music through the speaker up to 10 meters away. Pack up or set up a site without disconnecting, and enjoy whatever audio you choose. The speaker is versatile, and able to play music well anywhere you might take it.
Bluetooth 5.0 is twice as fast as 4.2 and with a higher capacity for high-fidelity music. Don’t waste time on hard-to-use equipment, connect any Bluetooth-enabled output to the speaker at will.
DAB, DAB+ and FM Radio
The attached telescopic extendable aerial picks up DAB and DAB+ digital radio as well as FM stations as you choose. Scan for channels on either network and move between registered stations easily. Save and pre-set channels to recall later, saving you time and making switching between two stations (Music, News, Weather, Talk Shows etc) simple.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where are the Charging Ports?
The MB290 features a protective soft seal around the charging ports (The opposite end to the LED Torch Bulbs). Pull back the silicone and the ports are accessible. Slot the silicone back in after charging.
Why can I not change Mode?
If you can see the Time and Date, the screen is in Standby mode. Please tap the power button (Do not hold) and then press Mode to cycle modes.
If you can see no Date or Time, Hold the power button and then you may use Mode to change modes.
No radio stations found?
Please ensure the aerial is unhooked and extended to the maximum length. Try from a variety of angles and locations nearby. Please try both FM and DAB reception Modes.
How to turn off SOS mode?
Double-Tap the SOS button to turn off SOS mode and stop the alarm / LED flash.

Shipping & Return
If you are not entirely satisfied with your product, you can return the item within 30 days of purchase. The item must be in its original packaging with all accessories. Once we have received the item, our engineers will inspect your returned item and your refund will be processed within 1 to 2 business days.
Please contact us before returning the item. We will attempt to resolve any issues you are experiencing and, if we are unable to do so, provide full return instructions. When returning an item, please download, complete and include the return form below inside your order. Failing to do so could lead to a delay in your refund. If you are unable to print the form you can fill out the information onto a blank piece of paper and include that instead.
In the event that the item is not containing all accessories or is poorly packaged and as a result returned damaged, we may be unable to issue a full refund. A customer service agent will explain this to you.

- All returned items must be properly protected against possible transport damage.
- You, as the buyer, are responsible for the cost of returning the item/s. Please use Royal Mail Second Class Parcel or lower. Our engineers inspect returned items, and if found to be faulty, your return postage will be refunded up to a maximum of £4.00
