The MR285 Bluetooth Audio Adapter easily connects Bluetooth to older sound systems or TVs. For music, set it to “Rx” mode to receive audio from your phone and play through your classic stereo via AUX or RCA cables. When watching TV with Bluetooth headphones, switch to “Tx” mode to transmit audio directly, making it perfect for private listening.
The multipoint function lets you connect multiple devices, like two headphones or speakers, for shared audio. Use the bypass mode to convert optical to AUX for higher-quality audio. Compact, portable, and with 12-hour battery life, the MR285 also offers USB playback so you can enjoy music wirelessly from a USB stick anywhere you go.

Why can I not connect my devices to the MR285?
If you are unable to achieve the configuration you need, please switch the “Rx” / “Tx” switch on the side of the adapter, and then cycle connections until the correct status LEDs are lit showing your cable connections.
Coaxial and Optical cables are for audio input only.
Why has the audio quality dropped?
The MR285 includes a microphone for taking calls over Bluetooth from appropriate devices. Audio quality will be lessened when the mic is engaged as the adapter must transmit and receive along the same connection. This occurs in any Bluetooth-enabled two-way communication device but can sometimes be more or less noticeable.
How is this different from MR280?
The key differences are that the AugustMR285 has an internal rechargeable battery for wireless use, and that the MR285 can support USB playback. The MR285 also features a wider range of combinations as it features coaxial as an audio input option. The MR280, however, has optical audio input and output, while the MR285 only has optical input.

Shipping & Return
If you are not entirely satisfied with your product, you can return the item within 30 days of purchase. The item must be in its original packaging with all accessories. Once we have received the item, our engineers will inspect your returned item and your refund will be processed within 1 to 2 business days.
Please contact us before returning the item. We will attempt to resolve any issues you are experiencing and, if we are unable to do so, provide full return instructions. When returning an item, please download, complete and include the return form below inside your order. Failing to do so could lead to a delay in your refund. If you are unable to print the form you can fill out the information onto a blank piece of paper and include that instead.
In the event that the item is not containing all accessories or is poorly packaged and as a result returned damaged, we may be unable to issue a full refund. A customer service agent will explain this to you.
